Dr. Craig Richardson is professor and department chair of economics at Winston-Salem State University. His research has explored the role of property rights in economies, and he has recently directed his focus to regional issues, including the use of the North Carolina Map Act to “freeze” property along a projected interstate corridor. His article on this developing topic is forthcoming in the Spring issue of The Independent Review, a journal of political economy.
