Charitable giving in the United States exceeds $250 billion per year.  Why do we give?  How can we better help others in need? Jeremy Beer will answer these questions based on his experiences as founding partner of the consulting firm American Philanthropic LLC, including ideas from his recent book The Philanthropic Revolution: An Alternative History of American Charity (University of Pennsylvania Press).
