Research Interests: Professor Bhandari has published over 75 professional papers and journal articles in economics, finance and law in journals throughout the world. He is also the author of several books in both economics and in law some of which have been published by MIT Press and Cambridge University Press. He remains active in interdisciplinary work and is currently engaged in writing two books on international economic law and regulation.
Biography
Professor Bhandari is Research Professor of Economics and Visiting Professor of Law at Wake Forest University. He has taught for a large number of years at Economics Departments, business schools and law schools at various universities including SMU, Georgetown University, West Virginia University and Duquesne University. In the past, he has also worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, private equity firms and in law firms such as Reed Smith, Shaw and McClay in Pittsburgh. His legal experience includes work for the judiciary as Advisor to Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Pennsylvania and Counsel to the Chief Bankruptcy Judge in the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, several US Courts of Appeal, Federal District Courts and the US Court of International Trade. He has also provided expert testimony in economic damages, financial valuation and complex legal matters to law firms and courts. He assists various charitable organizations such as World Relief and Lutheran Social Services in immigration matters and has been a certified mediator for Duval County, FL.
