
Jack Laughlin (Fall ’17) is an Economics major, German minor. After beginning Wake Forest as a pre-med student, he shifted his focus to economics after an impactful semester abroad in Vienna. Upon his return, Jack started the major with Dr. Whaples, whose teaching, character, and daily quizzes encouraged him to continue learning about global markets. In a combination of his love for living abroad and economics, Jack attended the London School of Economics for the summer of 2016, where he both survived Micro I & Macro I and lived through the Brexit referendum. Currently, Jack is a summer analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he works in Asset Management in New York City. On campus, Jack is a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a student carillonneur, and a leader in Dining Dilemmas, a medical ethics discussion seminar.
