Chu (Alex) Yu received her B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Northwestern University and her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California San Diego. Her research lies at the intersection of environmental economics and applied econometrics. A unifying theme in her research is developing econometrically sound procedures and using high-resolution geospatial data products to provide reliable estimates of the damages from climate change and pollution.
